As the program’s chief guest, he was present and as guests of honour and the event’s president, respectively, were Sanju Bachaspatimayum, secretary, Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Mayanglambam Khelendro, adviser, Pakhangba Dubbing and Distribution Corporation and Laimayum Surjakanta Sharma, chairman, Film Forum Manipur.

Everyone is aware of the State of Manipur’s film industry that Manipur’s film market is declining and movie theatres have reduced drastically. The primary goal of the PDDC is to increase the market for Manipuri films by dubbing them into other regional languages of India and international languages.

The PDDC will provide opportunities for dubbed movies to earn more as an alternative source of income from their film. For filmmakers looking to increase their market, dubbing is a fantastic opportunity. Dubbing boosts their audiences in the market. By drawing in more viewers from domestic and international markets, dubbing Manipuri films can increase their demand.

The primary focus of PDDC will be on dubbing tribal languages into Manipuri, into other regional languages of India and into foreign languages.
