Tezpur, Sept 30: Longding Battalion of HQ IGAR North organised Wancho Farmers Interactive session in Kanubari town, Longding District of Arunachal Pradesh.
The interactive session was organised in conjunction with Wancho Farmers Welfare Association. The aim of the interactive session was to generate awareness and encourage Wancho farmers to migrate from subsistence to commercial agriculture based on scientific techniques.
During the event, lectures on tea plantation and terrace farming were conducted by the experts in the field and they shared best practices.
The event was attended by Gabriel D Wangsu, MLA Kanubari, officers of civil administration and Agriculture department of Longding district, 28 villagers of Lower Wancho region. They expressed gratitude towards security forces for organizing informative events for villagers, stated a press release by Lt Col A S Walia, PRO (Defence), Tezpur.
