After missing for two weeks and six days, officials who recovered her revealed plans to abduct and sell her outside Assam. She was allegedly lured under the guise of a romantic relationship.

Police have arrested an individual, Tapan Namsudra, in connection with the abduction. Upon her rescue, railway police contacted the girl’s parents and she was safely returned to them.

The investigation was initiated following a complaint of kidnapping and a missing person report filed by the parents.
