Two militants arrested in Manipur

IMPHAL, April 29: Security forces arrested two militants from Manipur’s Imphal West and Jiribam districts, police said on Tuesday.

One active cadre of banned PREPAK (Pro) involved in extortion activities was arrested from Langthabal area in Imphal West district on Monday. One pistol along with one magazine loaded with two rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition were seized from his possession, they said.

One militant of the banned Peoples’ Liberation Army involved in extortion activities was arrested from Jiribam Bazaar in Jiribam district bordering Assam’s Cachar district on Monday, the police added. (PTI)
