SIVASAGAR, Feb 5: The 2nd All Assam Griffon Challenge Women’s Cricket Championship got underway in Sivasagar Boarding Field on Monday.

In the rain interrupted inaugural match Sivasagar B defeated   Sivasagar A by  7 wickets.

Manoj Kumar Borthakur hoisted the tournament flag while the tourney was inaugurated by Mrinalee Konwar, chairperson, Sivasagar Municipality Board in presence of Manoj Bhagawati, GS, Sivasagar Sports Association, distinguished guests Monica Saikia, Jayashree Chaliha, Sarat Hazarika,  Bharati Saikia, Arabinda Baruah, Pradip Borthakur, Dr Moni Pathak, Bina Goswami, Tutu Phukan and Mrinanka Saikia.
