DIPHU, Feb 4: Karbi Anglong’s athletics team won numerous medals at the 46th All Assam Inter-District Junior and Senior Athletics Championship 2023-24 held at North Lakhimpur College Campus.
The event has been hosted by the North Lakhimpur Sports Association under the initiative of the Assam Athletics Association from February 2 to 4.

Diphu girl Sangmir Teronpi won a Gold medal in the 5000-meter race while Surya Engti won a Gold in the 110 m hurdles race, Samika Ronghangpi and her team won Gold in the 4×400m relay race, Kajir Milikpi won Silver in 5000m Race (girls) and Erisim Taro and his team won Silver in 4×400m relay race (boys).
On the opening day of the competition, Deep Jyoty Boro won Gold in the 100 m race, Swmdwn Basumatary won silver in the 100 m race, Promod Hagjer won Bronze in javelin throw and Riya Keot won Bronze in the 800 m race.
The Karbi Anglong team is led by team manager Mangalsing Engti and coach Pokhila Engtipi.
