DIPHU, April 26: Royal Rhinos has entered the final of the Karbi Anglong Premier League (KAPL) 2023, beating Jirpo Chingrum Stallions by 26 runs in the first qualifier match at Sports Complex, 5th Miles here on Wednesday.
Jirpo Chingrum Stallions won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, Royal Rhinos set a target of 121/8 wickets in 20 Overs. Chasing the target, Jirpo Chingrum Stallions were all out in 95 runs. Royal Rhinos won the match by 26 runs. Man of Match was awarded to Raju Ghosh (captain of Royal Rhinos) took 3 wickets, and scored 19 runs.
The 1st Karbi Anglong Premier League (KAPL) T-20 Cricket Tournament is organised by Karbi Anglong Cricketers’ Association in collaboration with Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA). A total of 8 teams have participated in the tournament.
In the eliminator match was played between Reunion Dark Beasts Vs Dongkamukam Lightning Bolt, where Dongkamukam Lightning Bolt won by 11 runs.
Dongkamukam Lightning Bolt won the toss and elected to bat first and set a target of 124/9 in 20 Overs. Chasing the target, Reunion Dark Beasts manage to score 113 runs with the loss of 8 wickets in 20 Overs. Dongkamukam Lightning Bolt won the match by 11 runs.
The second semi-final match will be played between Jirpo Chingrum Stallions (qualifier loser) and Dongkamukam Lightning Bolt (eliminator winner).
