SIVASAGAR, May 6: Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) of Punjab National Bank (PNB), Sivasagar organised a 13-day KRISHI UDYAMI training for the rural youths of Gaurisagar from Thursday. A total of 35 youths, selected from the small farmer families of the villages of Sivasagar and Charaideo districts took part in the training program. The inaugural function was attended among others by Dr Akshay Bhat Keshari, DVO, Sivasagar; Rumi Borah, SDAO (Amguri); Bishwajit Das, LDM, Sivasagar; Dr Suraj Jyoti Gogoi, DPM, ASRLM, Sivasagar; Pabitra Kumar Borah, director, PNB RSETI and Rajib Dutta, social activist. The program focused on giving a boost to agriculture and allied activities through sustainable farm management practices. Further training will be provided with the faculty support from the line departments like District Agriculture, Veterinary, Fishery Sivasagar and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Sivasagar.
