Imphal, Oct 24: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh assured on Tuesday that the state would soon regain its normalcy and peace. In an interaction with the media in Imphal, Singh confidently stated, “Peace will be restored, people will be happy.”
In addition to this, he inaugurated several developmental projects in the city. Prior to this, Singh had mentioned on X about a significant seizure of arms and ammunition by the Manipur Police and Central Armed Forces.
He wrote, “In a major breakthrough by Manipur Police and Central armed forces, multiple weapons, ammunition, drugs and cash have been apprehended from Myanmar based militant group CKLA. The seized weapons include AK47, Insas, Sniper and M16 rifles along with huge cache of ammunition. Further, opium weighing about 2.5 kg, Rs 4,86,500 cash and various other items were also recovered. Earlier, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) have taken up cases wherein it was particularly stated that there exist a transnational conspiracy by Myanmar and Bangladesh based leadership of terror outfits to wage war against the Government of India by exploiting the current unrest in Manipur. Today’s apprehension of CKLA cadres and the recovery of weapons has yet again underscores a transnational plot aimed at destabilizing both Manipur and our nation.”: Manipur CM
