On Sunday, Bimala Phukan, a retired teacher and esteemed resident of Bhakat Gaon, Sootea, passed away due to age-related ailments. She was 88 years old. Throughout her career, she served as a teacher at Khanaguri Government JBS, Solal Gaon Government JBS, and retired from Nalbari Government JBS. Bimala Phukan was deeply involved with numerous socio-cultural organisations in the greater Sootea area, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Her demise has left a sense of sorrow and loss among those who knew her. Bimala Phukan is survived by her two sons and a large circle of relatives.
