BISWANATH CHARIALI, April 9: A total of seven election teams have visited the houses of senior citizens above 85 and persons with special needs, providing them with the facility of voting from home through postal ballots. The teams have collected votes by visiting houses from April 6 to 8, according to a press release. Within three days, the teams collected votes from No 70 Biswanath LAC and No 71 Behali LAC, respectively. Each election team comprised a micro-observer, polling officer, a police officer, and a photographer, who collected votes at the households’ doorsteps in both LACs. According to the press release, a total of 102 votes have been collected from Biswanath LAC, while 82 votes have been collected from Behali LAC. The remaining votes will be collected on April 11.
