Chief Election Officer Anurag Goel visits Hojai district

HOJAI, April 17: Chief election officer, Anurag Goel visited the office of the Hojai District Commissioner at Sanakardevnagar in Hojai on Wednesday to assess the election process for the Kaziranga Lok Sabha constituency, which will go to polls on April 19.

The chief election officer was accompanied by district election officer, Lachit Kumar Das, superintendent of police Sourav Gupta, additional district commissioners Jayshankar Sharma, Bani Inam Saddab, Sonakshi Brahma, chief executive officer of Zila Parishad, Pradeep Sutradhar, election officer Krishan Jyoti Deka, assistant commissioners of district public relations officer (in-charge) Rakhishree Lekharu, circle officers along other officers.

He took stock of the ongoing election activities within the office. He also inspected the EVM strong room, material cell, transport cell and other election related cells set up.  The chief election officer further held a detailed discussion with the district election officers and other officers on election related work.  He expressed satisfaction with the election preparations in Hojai district.
