The Bhutan Gate near Tamulpur in Assam, an important border point, will be closed for three days during the polling period. This measure is taken to control movement and enforce the Model Code of Conduct.

Furthermore, all political campaigning will be halted 48 hours before the vote, beginning at 5 pm on April 24. This prohibition includes meetings, mass gatherings, cultural events and the use of mass media for campaign purposes.

The sale of alcohol will also be banned in specified constituencies from April 24 until the end of polling on April 26. This is to maintain order and security during this vital period.
