BOKAJAN, June 9: All Party Hills Leaders Conference has alleged administrative failure in the recent conduct of the Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) election.
In a press conference called at the Hanjanglangso office of the APHLC, the legal secretary of APHLC, Semson Teron said, “It is due to the district administration’s incompetency and callousness that there is chaos, violence and damage to ballot boxes. We condemn it and such incidents should not reoccur in the future.”

The APHLC urged the BJP not to create such a violent situation again otherwise there is no need to conduct an election. The people should be allowed to elect whoever they want, the APHLC said.
The press conference was also attended by Sarupathar MAC candidate Bapuram Terang, Bokajan MAC candidate Pranjal Kro, Deopani MAC candidate Anthony Bongrung, Socheng Dhenta MAC candidate Horen Phangcho and workers.
