JORHAT, June 27: Professors and other employees of Assam Agricultural University have decided to donate one day’s salary to CM’s Relief Fund in aid of the flood affected.

An AAU official informed in a meeting chaired by University VC Dr Bidyut Chandan Deka at the Jorhat campus at Borbhetta, the decision in this regard was taken.
The official said that the meeting also decided to make arrangements for free distribution of saplings to flood hit farmers.
A decision was also taken to organise about 40 to 50 veterinary health camps in flood affected areas across the state.

The official further said that clothes and essential items would also be distributed to the flood hit.
