‘PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana’ awareness programme held at the Jorhat Science Centre

JORHAT, Aug 23: The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) Jorhat organised an awareness programme on the ‘PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana’ at the Jorhat Science Centre and Planetarium auditorium on Thursday.

Jorhat district commissioner Pulak Mahanta urged residents to take advantage of the ambitious solar power scheme, which, jointly implemented by the central and state governments, offers up to 300 units of free electricity per month.

APDCL officials detailed the scheme’s benefits and application process, informing attendees that applications can be submitted either at the APDCL office or online through the APDCL website.

The event was attended by district administration and APDCL officials, along with local residents.
