BSF apprehends 9 Bangladeshi nationals including two minors from Tripura

AGARTALA, Nov 8: The Border Security Force (BSF) deployed in Tripura have detained 9 Bangladeshi nationals including 2 minors from two different locations of the state.

As per a press statement from BSF, On 7th November, at about 08.30 AM, six Bangladeshi nationals including one lady and two transgenders were apprehended in a joint operation of BSF and Government Railway Police at Agartala.

The BSF said that in another operation 03 Bangladeshi nationals including 02 minors were apprehended by BSF troops of BOP Samrupara under Kailashahar sub-division of Unakoti district while they were trying to exfiltrate to Bangladesh.

“All the three BD nationals are family members and residents of Maulvibazar, Bangladesh. Preliminary inquiry is going on. BSF is maintaining a high level of alertness in the international border to prevent infiltration”, said BSF.
