Hit and Run Case: Main accused arrested

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 20: Police have arrested a main accused involved with a hit and run case between Pakro and Seba Village within 13 hours of the incident.

The accused has been identified as Rashok Sonam, age 47 years of Seppa, East Kameng.

One Fehi Tayem of Taroyar under Pakke Kessang, Arunachal Pradesh along with his wife and another woman while driving in between Pakro and Seba Village in his alto car bearing registration number AR 01C1144 collided with a Fortuner car bearing registration number AR 01Y0033 resulting serious injury to the three persons sitting in alto car on Sunday evening.

 The injured persons were rushed to the district hospital Seppa where Peyi Tayem was declared brought dead. Two seriously injured persons were admitted to the district hospital Seppa. The deceased body was later handed over to the relatives. Two involved vehicles were seized, towed and brought back to PS Pakke Kessang, stated a press release.

Police team consisting of Inspector Thony Tayeng, SI Pato Gami, IO SI H Rimo, Hct Pakge Taluk and Hct Vikash Gyadi under the supervision of SP Pakke Kessang Shri Tasi Darang conducted technical surveillance and initiated investigation. SP Pakke Kessang advised the commuters to be more vigilant and sincere while driving vehicles and to follow traffic rules and regulations.
