NAGAON, Feb 10: The Nagaon district unit of the All Assam District Administration Employees’ Association staged a protest boycotting their respective duties here on Monday.

The protest was called against the transfer of Gautam Bhuyan, a senior administrative assistant from Majuli district.

The association alleged that Bhuyan’s transfer to Jorhat district was made without following proper procedures.
The association’s district unit, led by its president Simanta Hazarika and secretary Bipul Chandra Bora, organised a strike from 4 pm to 5 pm and staged a demonstration in front of the District Commissioner’s office due to which the official work have been sharply affected during the day here.
