GUWAHATI, Feb 21: MediaTek, a global semiconductor company powering over two billion connected devices annually, has successfully completed its 2025 Retailer Education Program. The initiative, focused on key cities such as Delhi/NCR, Guwahati, and Indore, aimed to enhance retailer awareness of premium and flagship technologies driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 5G Series.
The program provided retailers with in-depth knowledge of MediaTek’s full range of chipsets and their applications in smartphones, smart speakers, Wi-Fi routers, Chromebooks, and TVs. It also highlighted the latest advancements in 5G, AI, camera technology, video streaming, and gaming, helping retailers better guide consumers in their purchase decisions.
Anuj Sidharth, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication at MediaTek India, emphasised the significance of the initiative in strengthening MediaTek’s market presence.
He noted that over the past two years, the program has engaged retailers through in-store interactions, equipping frontline employees with the expertise to address customer inquiries about the MediaTek Dimensity and Helio series chipsets.
As MediaTek expands its focus beyond smartphones to include a broader range of smart devices and automotive solutions, the company remains committed to educating retailers about its evolving product portfolio.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 5G lineup, including the flagship 9000 series, premium 8000 series, and mid-range 7000 and 6000 series, offers a combination of advanced connectivity, multimedia capabilities, AI-driven enhancements, and gaming support powered by the latest MediaTek HyperEngine Gaming Technology. With a dominant presence in the Indian smartphone market, accounting for over 50 percent market share, MediaTek is making significant strides in the premium segment with its advanced chipsets such as the Dimensity 9400, Dimensity 8350, and Dimensity 8400. These chipsets power devices from leading brands including OPPO, vivo, Samsung, Xiaomi, POCO, Tecno, iMin, Motorola, Realme, and LAVA.
Rupam Mukherjee, Senior Sales Manager for South Asia at iMin Technology, described the program as an invaluable resource in helping retailers understand MediaTek’s latest innovations. He highlighted how the initiative enables retailers to better communicate the performance and advantages of MediaTek chipsets to customers while also introducing them to the company’s growing presence in AIOT and smart commercial Android devices.
The program featured comprehensive training modules, interactive discussions, and seminars designed to enhance retailer knowledge of MediaTek’s smartphone and smart device portfolio. On-ground promoters also engaged directly with key retailers, reinforcing awareness of MediaTek’s premium and flagship technologies. Through a combination of online and in-person engagements, the initiative aims to reach a wide network of retailers, ensuring they are well-equipped to guide consumers in making informed purchasing decisions.
