Deer rescued at Kalakati

BISWANATH CHARIALI, March 5: A stray deer that came out from the sixth edition of the Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve was rescued from Kalakati Village, in the southern part of Sootea on Wednesday.

According to information, the local residents spotted a stray deer in the backyard of one Ali Hussain, a resident of Kalakati village this morning and immediately informed the Biswanath Wildlife division. Later on, a team from Biswanath Wildlife division reached the site and rescued the mildly injured deer. It will be released at the KNP&TR after primary treatment, informed one of the forest officials.
