According to an official statement, the Governor underlined the importance of automation as a crucial component of good governance.

He emphasized that the adoption of AI tools has the potential to greatly improve efficiency in government operations, particularly in areas such as record-keeping, data analysis, and real-time planning.

Reaffirming the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a Viksit Bharat (Developed India), Governor Parnaik stressed that Arunachal Pradesh could align with this national goal by laying a strong foundation built on technological advancement.

He pointed out that a similar transformation is achievable for the state, with the ultimate aim of creating a “Viksit Arunachal” through the strategic integration of AI in governance.

The Governor elaborated on the advantages of AI, noting that its strength lies in the speed and precision with which it produces outcomes.

He further acknowledged the competent performance of individual government departments but identified inter-departmental coordination as an area that continues to face challenges.

He stated that technology can play a vital role in analyzing existing systems, planning effectively, and addressing these coordination gaps through structured and tech-enabled governance.

Governor Parnaik identified several specific sectors where AI tools could have an immediate and measurable impact.

These included anti-drug initiatives, real-time monitoring of infrastructure development projects—particularly those related to road construction—and overall enhancement of administrative oversight.

Drawing from his firsthand experiences during official tours across various districts, the Governor urged ministers and senior bureaucrats to focus on bottom-up automation strategies, beginning at the district level. He emphasized the importance of localized implementation of automation to create a foundation for broader transformation.

“As an enabler, I will continue my mission to promote automation,” he affirmed.

The presentation, which served as the platform for this important dialogue on AI adoption in governance, was delivered by Abhinav Varma Kalidindi, founder and CEO of IKONZ, Hyderabad.

The event was attended by several key officials, including State Ministers Gabriel D Wangsu, Dasanglu Pul, Balo Raja, and Kento Jini.

Senior bureaucrats such as Commissioners and Secretaries from the Departments of Education, Information Technology, Tourism, and Planning were also present during the session.

The discussion marks a progressive step in the state’s journey toward digital transformation, reflecting a growing recognition of the role emerging technologies can play in public service delivery and state administration.
