ITANAGAR, June 19: Arunachal Pradesh Governor K T Parnaik on Thursday hailed the state assembly’s transformation into a “modern and paperless” institution, calling it a “destination of pride”.
He also lauded Speaker Tesam Pongte for progressive reforms, during a meeting held at the Raj Bhavan here.
Parnaik appreciated the Speaker’s innovative efforts in adopting artificial intelligence tools and transitioning the assembly to a “fully digital and paperless system”, an official statement said.
He described the integration as a landmark step that places the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly among the “most forward-thinking legislatures in the country”, it said.
During the meeting, Pongte also briefed Parnaik on preparations for the upcoming golden jubilee celebrations of the assembly, and extended a formal invitation to him to attend the inaugural ceremony. (PTI)
