GULC successfully conducts entrance examinations for 2025–26

GUWAHATI, July 24: The entrance examinations for admission into the LL.B. and B.A., LL.B./B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) programmes at Gauhati University Law College (GULC) for the academic session 2025–26 were successfully conducted on Tuesday, drawing widespread participation from aspirants across Northeast India.

According to an official statement issued by the university, the examinations witnessed the appearance of a total of 1,233 candidates.

The attendance rate recorded was 85.82% for the three-year LL.B. programme and 87.52% for the integrated B.A., LL.B./B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) programme.

The smooth conduct of the examination reflects the university’s commitment to maintaining academic integrity and procedural discipline.

Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University, Professor Nani Gopal Mahanta, commended the successful execution of the entrance process.

“Gauhati University has maintained its academic standards and conducted the Law College entrance examinations in an orderly manner, alongside other entrance tests. We hope all candidates achieve their desired results,” he said.

Dr Dipankar Das, Principal of Gauhati University Law College, also extended his best wishes to all candidates and expressed sincere gratitude to the university administration for their cooperation and logistical support in conducting the entrance tests efficiently.

The university authorities reiterated their dedication to providing quality legal education and ensuring a fair and transparent admission process for aspiring law students.

The entrance results are expected to be declared as per the schedule announced earlier by the university.
