MANGALDAI, July 30: During a two-day discussion in Parliament on Operation Sindoor, Kharupetia Municipal Board Chairperson and BJP leader Krishna Saha launched a scathing attack on Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President and Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi, accusing him of echoing Pakistan’s narrative in the House.
Saha alleged that Gogoi’s remarks in Parliament were “shameful” and detrimental to the nation’s pride, claiming they aligned with questions commonly raised by Pakistan.

Referring to earlier allegations made by chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Saha stated that the chief minister had previously linked Gogoi to Pakistan and had even set up a special investigation team to look into the matter.
She asserted that Gogoi’s recent parliamentary conduct lent credibility to the chief minister’s claims.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our armed forces penetrated deep into Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, destroying terrorist training camps and bases,” Saha said, “While Pakistan trembled in the face of Indian military action, Gogoi chose to raise questions that appeared to support Pakistan’s stance rather than salute our soldiers’ courage.”
She further stated that while the country and the world praised India’s leadership, Gogoi’s remarks were out of step with national sentiment.
“The world chants ‘Modi hai toh Mumkin hai’, and even children in Pakistan fear his name,” she added, claiming that the Congress-led opposition’s approach during the debate undermined the spirit of national unity.
Saha urged citizens to recognise the bravery of the Indian Army and criticised the Congress party for what she described as an anti-national posture during a time of international appreciation for India’s decisive actions.
