GUWAHATI, Aug 12: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has organised a series of activities under the fourth edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, aimed at celebrating India’s independence and fostering patriotic spirit among its staff, according to an official statement.
At the General Manager/NFR (Construction) office, General Manager Arun Kr Chaudhary led officers and employees in a gathering dedicated to the nation’s values.
The Personnel Department/Construction Organisation conducted a Tiranga Yatra on August 12, in which over 200 officers, staff and representatives from NFREU and NFRMU, along with senior officials, marched carrying the national flag and raising patriotic slogans.
A selfie booth was set up at the GM/Con/NFR premises to encourage participants to share their photographs on the national platform harghartiranga.com.
A short film on the importance of the national flag and the country’s freedom struggle was screened, with Chaudhary urging all present to uphold honesty and integrity as part of true patriotism.
The NFR also distributed national flags to officers and staff for hoisting at their homes between August 13 and 15, ensuring that the tricolour is displayed both in workplaces and households.
