DIPHU, Aug. 14: In a step towards enhancing public infrastructure, MLA Bidyasing Engleng on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the renovation of the Circuit House in Diphu under the MLA Local Area Development Scheme (MLADS) for 2025–26.
The project aims to upgrade existing facilities, ensuring improved accommodation and amenities for officials, dignitaries and visitors, benefiting the people of Karbi Anglong.
The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by Executive Members of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Madhuram Lekthe and Mongal Sing Timung, Deputy Commissioner of Karbi Anglong Nirola Phangchopi, and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Engleng said the initiative would improve public infrastructure in the district. “The Circuit House is not just a government building—it’s a gateway for visitors to our beautiful land. Upgrading it will reflect the hospitality and progress of Karbi Anglong,” he stated.
The initiative reflects the district’s continued focus on infrastructure development and the quality of public facilities under the leadership of its elected representatives.
