Tribute paid to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his Punyatithi in Diphu

DIPHU, Aug 16: On the occasion of the Punyatithi of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang, paid tribute at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan BJP-EKADC office here on Saturday.

Ronghang, accompanied by MLA Darsing Ronghang, Executive Members, MACs, and senior party leaders, offered floral homage before the portrait of the late leader.

The programme was attended by Roland Killing, district BJP president of Karbi Anglong, along with party karyakartas and dignitaries.

Speakers at the gathering remembered Vajpayee as a visionary leader, poet, and orator whose contribution to democracy, development, and India’s global stature remains unmatched.

They recalled his role in strengthening unity, good governance, and national pride.

In his address, the CEM said Vajpayee’s ideals and leadership continue to inspire generations to work selflessly for the progress of the nation.

The homage concluded with prayers and floral offerings, reflecting deep respect for the legacy of one of India’s tallest leaders.
