GUWAHATI, Aug 18: The sacred occasion of Nanda Utsav was celebrated with devotion and cultural fervour at the Noisthic Dance Academy, Basistha Pilingkata Road, Guwahati, in association with the Bhaktivedanta Holistic Healthcare Center.
Nearly 150 devotees and well-wishers joined the event to honour Lord Krishna and embrace the spirit of spirituality and yoga.
The celebration began with a Hare Krishna Mahamantra Kirtan performed by ISKCON devotees, filling the hall with devotional chanting and collective prayer.
Many participants said the Mahamantra’s vibrations instilled peace, joy and a sense of spiritual unity.
Marking the occasion, a new book titled “Change Life with Yogic Science” was formally released. Published by JNC Book Limited, the book has been edited by Amar Krishna Paul, with Dibya Jyoti Deka as associate editor.
The book was inaugurated by Amar Ali Ahmed and Ranjit Sinha, who emphasised the relevance of yoga in contemporary times.
The programme was anchored by Dibya Jyoti Deka, Chairman of Yogesvara Sansthan, who also spoke on how yoga and spiritual practices can transform lives and contribute to a healthier society.
Eminent guests present included Amar Krishna Paul, Director of JNC Book Limited, and Dhananjay Talukdar, Accounts and Programme Officer of Mera Yuva Bharat, Nagaon, who addressed the youth gathered at the event.
Other participants included Sikta Dev Kar, Yoga Therapist at GMCH, and yoga teachers Anil Deka and Kankan Deka, whose experience added depth to the celebration.
Presiding over the event, Yogacharya Subhasish, Founder-President of the Indian Yoga Culture & Yoga Therapy Centre, Guwahati, highlighted the importance of integrating yogic practices into daily life for holistic growth of body, mind and soul.
His address left the audience inspired to adopt yoga as a way of life. The programme concluded with expressions of gratitude, as participants departed with renewed energy, spiritual wisdom and inspiration to follow the path of yoga and bhakti.
