Assam CM Hands Over Cheques to SHG Women, Inaugurates Polytechnic Workshop in Dhemaji

Dhemaji, 09 Oct :Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma handed over cheques of ₹10,000 each to 36,886 self-help group (SHG) women under the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan today. The scheme aims to support women entrepreneurs across the state by providing financial assistance for small business initiatives.

During his visit, Sarma inaugurated a workshop and technology lab at Dhemaji Polytechnic under the initiative to develop government polytechnics and ITIs as centres of excellence. He also laid the foundation stone for a 30-bed Community Health Centre at Simen Chapori under the National Health Mission Assam, funded through the 15th Finance Commission health grant.
