Dhemaji, 11 Oct: After being missing for nearly 25 days from Tuting in Arunachal Pradesh, Unnat Tayek of Silapathar has been found alive.
With relentless efforts from the Tuting police and administration, along with the people of Taye Apuon Kowbang and Jerang Irang in Arunachal Pradesh, Unnat Tayek was successfully traced and rescued.
According to reports, Unnat Tayek, a 41-year-old resident of Lakhimpur village under Silapathar in Dhemaji district, had gone to Tuting in Arunachal Pradesh in September with 11 fellow workers for employment under an Arunachali contractor.

It is learned that 12 labourers from Assam were employed as porters to carry cement from Tuting to a place called Tengo 1. During the journey, while trekking for three days through extremely difficult hilly terrain toward Jorjing in Upper Siang district, Unnat Tayek went missing.
After continuous search operations, the Tuting police, local administration, and residents of Taye Apuon Kowbang and Jerang Irang finally succeeded in rescuing him from a remote area in a critical condition.
As seen in visuals, a team of doctors and police officials can be observed providing medical assistance to Unnat Tayek in a remote camp.
However, it is still unclear where and how Tayek was found after so many days, as detailed information about the circumstances of his rescue has not yet been received.
