ITANAGAR, Oct 13: The People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) took another step toward strengthening its organisational base with the inauguration of a new party office at Sagalee in Papum Pare district on Monday.

The office was inaugurated by PPA State President and Doimukh MLA Nabam Vivek, marking the formal beginning of the party’s expansion drive in the district.

Speaking at the inaugural event, Nabam Vivek said the PPA, being a constituent of the NDA alliance, is committed to contributing to the overall development of the state.

“It is a proud and happy moment for the party workers of Sagalee to have their own office for carrying out organisational activities. I am confident that the presence of a party office will strengthen our base and encourage greater participation in Sagalee constituency,” he said.

Referring to his own constituency, Doimukh, Vivek said he was elected with a heavy margin of votes and expressed optimism that there would be no “step-motherly treatment” toward him or his constituency by the ruling BJP-led alliance government.

“PPA is part of Team Arunachal and a regional party dedicated to the state’s progress. As an elected representative, I am working with full sincerity and commitment toward the development of both the state and my constituency,” he said.

Vivek also emphasised that while he would not interfere in the developmental affairs of other constituencies, he would put in his best efforts to expand the party’s reach across Arunachal Pradesh.

“We welcome all like-minded individuals, youth leaders, and public figures who wish to work for the people at the regional level — without any high-command system — to join the PPA and strengthen the voice of Arunachal,” he added.

Several senior party leaders from across the state and Papum Pare district accompanied the PPA president during the inauguration ceremony, expressing confidence that the party’s renewed focus on grassroots expansion would bolster its political presence in the coming years.
