Guwahati, 18 Oct: Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) leader Charan Boro was sworn in as a Cabinet Minister in the Assam government during an oath-taking ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Guwahati, on 18 October. The ceremony, which began at 11 AM, saw Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administer the oath of office and secrecy. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary were present to witness the event.
Boro’s induction marks a key addition to the Assam Cabinet, reflecting the government’s continued focus on strengthening regional representation. His inclusion is also being seen as a sign of renewed collaboration between the BJP and the BPF within the ruling NDA alliance.
