TEZPUR, Oct 22: A LAC-wise Mega Health Camp for the Rangapara Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC), organised under the “Susrusha Setu 2025” initiative of the Government of Assam, was held on Wednesday at Rangapara Higher Secondary School, Rangapara, Sonitpur.
The programme was launched during the “Seva Hi Samarpan: Seva Saptah” campaign.

The camp was inaugurated by Rangapara MLA Krisna Kamal Tanti in the presence of District Commissioner Ananda Kumar Das, Sonitpur; Co-District Commissioner of Rangapara Smti Kabita Kakati Konwar; ADC (Health) Twahir Alam; Rangapara Municipal Board Chairperson Hari Sadhan Das; Joint Director of Health Services (i/c) Dr Rupak Baruah; Inspector of Schools; District Programme Manager, NHM; the school principal; and other dignitaries and health officials.
The health camp recorded around 2,714 registrations by the time of reporting.
Facilities included 10 registration desks, two Mobile Medical Units, a General Laboratory, 10 Specialist OPDs, a General OPD, an AYUSH OPD, and a Cancer Screening Facility.
Over 200 health personnel, including doctors, lab technicians, ASHA and ANM workers, and officials from the Social Welfare Department (who also set up a stall on Nutrition and POSHAN), provided services to beneficiaries.
Organised under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, the “Susrusha Setu 2025” health camps aim to provide comprehensive screening for children aged 0–18 years, covering around 59 diseases and health conditions, including congenital heart diseases, neurological disorders, cleft lip and palate, congenital malformations, and endocrine and haematological disorders.
General health check-ups and wellness activities were also integral components of the camp.
