India’s electronics growth to gain momentum with IESA–Industry collaboration

GUWAHATI, Oct 31: The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the country’s electronics manufacturing and innovation ecosystem in close partnership with the Government of India and industry stakeholders.

“IESA is deeply committed to driving value creation across the electronics sector and partnering closely with the Government of India and industry leaders to propel the next wave of growth,” said Ashok Chandak, President, IESA and SEMI India.

He noted that the association’s vision aligns with the Prime Minister’s target of building a USD 500 billion electronics industry by 2030, with an export goal of USD 180 billion.

Chandak was speaking at the Annual General Meeting of the Mobile and Electronics Devices Export Promotion Council (MEDEPC), attended by Union Minister Piyush Goyal as chief guest.

 He highlighted that through coordinated policy efforts and industry collaboration, India can strengthen its global competitiveness and emerge as a trusted hub for design, manufacturing, and exports in the electronics sector.

He further added that IESA’s member companies are committed to accelerating investments in manufacturing, product innovation, component development, skill enhancement, and the startup ecosystem to reinforce India’s position in the global electronics value chain.
