DIPHU, Nov 20: The Purthimi Akemang 2.0 programme was successfully held on Thursday at the Haberam Rongphar Playground in Korkanthi under the MAC Constituency, where free land pattas were distributed to indigenous residents.
Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang, attended the event as chief guest.
He was accompanied by MLA Darsing Ronghang, KAAC Chairman Raju Tisso, KAAC Executive Member Ritesh Enghee and Roland Killing, president of the BJP East Karbi Anglong District Committee, among others.
Addressing the gathering, CEM Ronghang reaffirmed KAAC’s commitment to ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is left out.
He announced that for those who could not receive land pattas under Purthimi Akemang 2.0, the administration is preparing to launch Purthimi Akemang 3.0 to guarantee equitable access for all Karbi people and other tribal communities.
He also highlighted key development priorities, including boosting the rural economy, addressing unemployment, improving village road connectivity, enhancing educational infrastructure, and developing playgrounds and other essential public facilities.
The programme concluded on an optimistic note, marking another milestone in KAAC’s continued efforts toward regional development.
