DIPHU, Dec 16: Adding festivity to the Christmas season and emphasising its inclusive ethos, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong jointly organised an Advent Christmas celebration at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, BJP Office, opposite ARTC Gate-1 on Diphu–Manja Road. Themed ‘The Gift of God’s Grace’ (John 3:16-17), the event aimed to showcase harmony and shared cultural values.
The celebration brought together party leaders, karyakartas and well-wishers from both Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong in a festive atmosphere marked by prayers, carols and messages of hope, peace and goodwill. He prayed for peace, unity, prosperity and guidance for the leaders of Karbi Anglong.
The evening was further illuminated by performances from youths of Lorulangso Garo Baptist Church, women of Holy Cross Parish, Desobai, Kuki choir from Bagmari, Diphu, Karbi Anglong Evangelical Baptist Church, Rongali, solo presentations by gospel singers Christina Ingtipi, Carolin Amo, Columbus Rongphar, Miracle Band, Diphu and Worship Warrior band from Tika, West Karbi Anglong.
