Tamulpur DC visits border villages under Vibrant Village Programme–II

KOKRAJHAR, Dec 17: Under the Vibrant Village Programme–II of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, District Commissioner of Tamulpur, Pankaj Chakravarty, ACS, visited three border villages—Dongargaon No 3, Dongargaon No 1 and Bihangapur on Tuesday to interact with residents and assess developmental needs and future opportunities.

Chakravarty was accompanied by Jasbir Singh, 2nd I/C of 24th Battalion, SSB, Assistant Commissioner Arunima Kakaty and heads of key departments including Education, Health, Social Welfare and Public Health Engineering. The team held interactive sessions with villagers to understand ground-level issues.

During the visit, villagers openly shared their concerns, challenges and aspirations, highlighting priority areas for improvement. The visits underscored the District Administration’s commitment to participatory governance and community-driven planning, ensuring that development initiatives are aligned with grassroots realities.
