CM Himanta Biswa Sarma launches key projects in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT, Jan 29: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, while distributing cheques to 38,000 women under the Mahila Udyamita Abiyan at Samannay Khetra, said, “Assam is known for development and women empowerment today.” He highlighted how the scheme would gradually help beneficiaries achieve greater financial goals.

He also inaugurated the 65,000 sq ft Integrated District Commissioner’s Office, a Rs 49 crore project, praising its sophistication and aesthetic appeal. Earlier, he was felicitated by DC Parag Kakaty, Finance Minister Ajanta Neog, Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa and other officials.

Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated the new Govt Bezbaruah HS School building (Rs 8 crore), an open stage (Rs 4 crore) and the Golaghat-Merapani and Padumoni-Rungajan roads (Rs 104 crore and Rs 106 crore) under the Assam Mala Project.
