DIBRUGARH, Feb 16: The Prabha Khaitan Foundation is set to continue its literary engagement in Dibrugarh with the second edition of The Write Circle, an initiative aimed at bringing authors and readers together for informal and meaningful dialogue.
The session, being organised with the support of Oil India Limited, will be held at Cygnett Inn Dibrugarh and will feature noted author, columnist and public speaker Chandrachur Ghose in conversation with academic and author Dr Kaustubh Deka.
The Write Circle seeks to create an engaging platform where writers and audiences can interact closely and exchange ideas in an open setting.
Chandrachur Ghose is known for his work on history, politics, economics and environmental issues, and is widely recognised for presenting complex socio-political themes with clarity through his books, columns and public lectures.
Dr Kaustubh Deka, who teaches at Dibrugarh University, is an academic and author actively involved in contemporary intellectual discourse in the region, with his writings reflecting deep engagement with social and cultural issues.
Organisers said the evening is expected to offer a stimulating dialogue on contemporary realities and attract literature enthusiasts, scholars and members of the wider community, further strengthening Dibrugarh’s growing literary culture.
The Kolkata-based Prabha Khaitan Foundation, established in the 1980s by noted litterateur and philanthropist Prabha Khaitan, has evolved into a major platform promoting literature, art, culture and education across India and abroad.
Its initiatives today extend to more than 50 cities and include a range of literary and cultural programmes in multiple languages.
