HOJAI, Feb 21: The foundation stone for the newly constructed building of the District Social Welfare Office under the Women and Child Development Department was laid at district headquarters Srimanta Sankardev Nagar on Saturday.
MLA Ramkrishna Ghosh and District Commissioner Bidyut Bikash Bhagawati jointly laid the foundation stone as chief guests on the occasion. The building, costing approximately Rs 70 lakh, will help conduct departmental activities more efficiently and dynamically, the District Commissioner remarked.
