Speaking on the occasion, the Governor termed the event a celebration of unity, national spirit and collective resolve. Extending his heartfelt congratulations to the awardees, he said that honours conferred in the name of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel serve as a reminder of his unparalleled contribution to India’s unity and integrity. He observed that India’s enduring strength lies in its timeless principle of unity in diversity, rooted in the civilisational ideals of public welfare and collective progress. Referring to the guiding ethos of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” he said these values continue to inspire the nation’s inclusive and compassionate outlook.
