GUWAHATI, March 5: The Office of the Superintendent of Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs, Cachar has clarified that there is no shortage of petroleum products in the district, even as queues have been noticed at a few petrol pumps in recent hours.
According to an official press note issued on Thursday, the district administration has observed that some people have been lining up at certain fuel outlets to purchase petroleum products such as petrol and diesel. However, authorities have categorically stated that there is no supply disruption or scarcity of fuel in Cachar district.
The department has confirmed that all petrol pumps across the district are adequately stocked with petrol and diesel and the supply of petroleum products is continuing smoothly without any difficulty.
In view of the situation, the Superintendent of Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs, Cachar has urged the esteemed citizens of the district not to panic or indulge in unnecessary rush at fuel stations. The public has been requested to remain calm and continue their normal purchasing habits, as there is sufficient availability of petrol and diesel throughout the district.
The district administration reiterated that there is no cause for concern and adequate arrangements are in place to ensure uninterrupted supply of petroleum products across Cachar.
