ICAI Guwahati branch holds seminar on Income Tax Act 2025

GUWAHATI, March 8: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Guwahati Branch (EIRC), organised the second seminar of the “Income Tax Ki Pathsala” series at ICAI Bhawan on March 7 under the chairmanship of CA Anjani Kumar Mundhra.

The programme was initiated by CA Nitika Bagaria, who highlighted the objective of the series and stressed the importance of a systematic study of the Income Tax Act, 2025, which is scheduled to come into effect from April 1, 2026.

Technical sessions were conducted by CA Vivek Jain and CA Vikash Kumar Jain.

The speakers discussed several professional issues, including TDS demands of previous years, tax payments and refunds related to TDS and TCS.

The sessions aimed to enhance conceptual clarity among professionals while addressing practical challenges faced in taxation matters.

The seminar saw active participation from members and concluded with an interactive discussion session.

The vote of thanks was delivered by CA Piyush Birmiwal, secretary of the Guwahati branch, who appreciated the efforts of the speakers and the enthusiastic participation of members.
