DEMOW, March 19: The Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced 88 candidates for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, including Sushanta Borgohain for the 95 No Demow constituency.
Borgohain, a former MLA of the constituency (earlier 107 No Thowra), has received a positive response from his supporters following the announcement. He was also seen campaigning in the constituency on Thursday.

Reacting to his nomination, Borgohain thanked Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, State BJP president Dilip Saikia and the party’s national leadership. He expressed confidence that the BJP will win the seat and said the Demow constituency will continue on the path of development, highlighting the government’s work for the people over the past five years.
