On this occasion, Chief Executive Member (CEM) Debolal Gorlosa extended heartfelt greetings to all citizens, emphasising the importance of peace and harmony in the district. He expressed gratitude to every community and individual for keeping this spirit alive. He lauded the untiring efforts of tribal committees in codifying customary laws, now preserved and displayed at the Council Customary Court Library.

Remembering the contributions of historical figures such as King Govind Chandra, Senapati Tularam, Rani Gaidinliu, D Hojai and others, the CEM acknowledged their role in safeguarding traditions and pledged to continue strengthening cultural heritage. “It has been my duty and prestige to uphold these traditions for the past nine years, though much work still lies ahead,” he remarked.

Highlighting development priorities, Gorlosa stressed regional connectivity and celebrated the district’s academic achievements, particularly the recent success of students securing the first position in the Matriculation results in Assam. He further assured that the long-standing issue of salaries in the NCHAC has been largely mitigated, urging employees and teachers to continue their work with diligence.

The celebration saw the release of Class-II textbooks for Dimasa medium LP schools, an award ceremony for Best Village under the DARA DISA Scheme 2025 and enhancement of remuneration for Gaon Buras to Rs 5,000, among various other initiatives.
