IMPHAL, Sept 10: Three fresh cases reported on Friday took Manipur’s Covid-19 infection tally to 1,39,755 while the fatality toll remained unchanged at 2,148 with no death due to the viral disease on the day.
Three new cases were detected upon testing of 386 samples in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate of the day was 0.8%, the latest Covid-19 status update of the State Health department said.
One case each was reported in Bishnupur, Senapati and ukhrul districts, the bulletin said.

The active cases in the State further declined to 35 against 37 on the previous day as five patients were discharged upon recuperation against the three fresh cases.
The recovery tally of the State rose to 1,37,572. The recovery rate also improved to 98.44% against 98.43 the previous day.
Meanwhile, the doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in the state so far touched 32,01,120 with 2,612 more people being vaccinated on Thursday.
In the State, the vaccination drive against Covid-19 has so far covered 16,36,097 people which is 62.37% of the total eligible population of the state while the second dose covered only 13,12,151 which is 54.37% of the total eligible population only. Another 2,52,872 people have also received the precautionary dose of the vaccine so far, the health bulletin added. (NNN)
