6 days long training on food processing held at Nagaon

NAGAON, Oct 1: District Agriculture department, Nagaon in association with Community Food Processing Unit, Nagaon organised a six days long training on processing of fruits that are locally available at the office of community food processing unit here at Nagaon since September 26, 2022. The training programme concluded on Saturday.

Over 10 entrepreneurs from various places of the district participated in the training. They were trained about the ways; the locally available seasonal fruits could be processed to conserve it for the other seasons by the experts from the concerned department.

In the closing session, Tarun Hazarika, district agriculture officer was present as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the participants. Mukul Bharati Nath, sub-divisional agriculture officer and Kalyan Boruah, assistant agriculture inspector of Community Food Processing Unit, ADOs Keshabananda Bora and Kalyan Goswami were present in the closing session of the training programme, a release added.
