Guwahati, Oct 29: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi greeted the people across the State on the pious occasion of Chhath Puja which is a festival of self-discipline, faith, belief and prayers to the Sun God.

In a message Governor Mukhi said, “I extend my heartiest greetings to the people all across the State on the pious occasion of Chhath Puja where people offer prayers to Sun God. Moreover, I hope the festival depicts paramount self-discipline, faith and belief and help in strengthening human values to form a society based on love and bonhomie.
