Tezpur, Nov 15: In a terrible road accident that took place on Tuesday at Borghat Chariali under Borghat Police Out Post near here, Saidul Basher, a retired teacher and president of Samdhora Gaon Panchayat embraced tragic death. A loaded dumper bearing registration number AS-09-AC-8524 allegedly hit the man and his scooter bearing registration number AS-12-Y-4712 from the backside and ran over his head while he was on his way to his office.
After the tragic accident peoples of the locality blocked the public road and staged protests against frequent road accidents caused by dumpers and demanded immediate solution of the issue. Officials from the Sonitpur district administration visited the place and assured them to initiate necessary steps from the administration.
